Our pastor grew up in Lancaster , SC. After being saved at the age of 21, Pastor Boling began serving in his local church in Lancaster . This service of teaching, singing in the choir and soul winning began to stir his heart toward the ministry. After he and Pam (Cook) Boling were married, they moved to Lynchburg , VA to attend Liberty Baptist College (now Liberty University). He graduated with his bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies in 1975 and then moved to Greenwood , SC to start the Greenwood Baptist Church . He has been the pastor of Greenwood Baptist Church since it started in July, 1976. He and his wife have four grown children (a son and son-in-law in the ministry) and six grandchildren.

Rev. Jason Boling - Associate Pastor

Pastor Jason is the son of our pastor. He was saved at the age of 17 during a revival meeting here in Greenwood , SC. He attended Bob Jones University and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2005. Pastor Jason has been the associate pastor since January, 2003. He works primarily with the youth group, music ministry and childen's ministry. He and his wife, Kara, have been married since 2002.
